Glean is a Work AI platform that combines enterprise search, AI assistants, and scalable AI agents on a secure, open platform. As Product Manager for API Platform, you will own the strategy and execution of Glean's public APIs, SDKs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) offerings for developers both within customer organizations and at partner companies. This is a hands-on role that bridges product strategy with technical depth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and evolve the public API and SDK surface, including versioning, deprecation policies, and backwards-compatibility commitments
- Define the complete developer experience: authentication, onboarding, first API call, error handling, rate limiting, webhooks, and edge cases
- Write code yourself—build sample applications, run integrations, and identify rough edges before customers encounter them
- Review and improve developer documentation with a critical eye, treating unclear or incomplete docs as design problems
- Analyze support tickets and community forums to identify patterns; escalate recurring questions as design defects rather than documentation issues
- Define and track metrics that predict developer success: time-to-first-call, integration success rate, API error rates, and shipping velocity
- Collaborate with premier B2B product companies on partnership strategy and interoperability
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, deep empathy for developer needs, and proven ability to ship robust, scalable API and SDK solutions. You should be comfortable writing code, reading technical specifications, and working cross-functionally with engineering, support, and partnerships teams.
