Hims & Hers, a leading public health and wellness platform (NYSE: HIMS), is seeking a Product Manager, AI to lead the next generation of AI-powered experiences across patient journeys. This role sits at the intersection of consumer experience, messaging, and provider workflows, requiring someone who can apply AI capabilities toward delightful, trustworthy, and high-impact product experiences.
You will drive AI projects and roadmaps across key patient and messaging experience journeys from 0-1 concepts to global scale. You'll define clear problem statements, success metrics, and guardrails that balance user value, clinical safety, and business impact (engagement, adherence, LTV, provider throughput). The role bridges patient and provider experiences, ensuring AI surfaces are coherent across patient interfaces, provider tools, and internal workflows.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Engineering, Data, and Applied AI teams to turn model capabilities (LLMs, agents, retrieval, personalization systems) into delightful user experiences. You'll design AI systems with safety and trust as first-class concerns, aligning with Care Operations, Clinical, and Legal teams to define escalation rules, failure modes, and safeguards. You'll drive experimentation and continuous learning using A/B tests, cohort analysis, and qualitative research to refine experiences and tune models against real-world outcomes.
You'll champion grounding and truthfulness by integrating structured data, guidelines, and retrieval into AI flows, and by defining evaluation standards for hallucination and safety. Working with Operations and Support teams, you'll understand edge cases, failure scenarios, and operational load, folding those insights back into product and system design. Finally, you'll communicate clearly with executive stakeholders, surfacing tradeoffs, risks, and progress across a portfolio of AI initiatives.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of Consumer Product Management experience with substantive experience building applied AI/ML-powered or data-intensive products. You should have a track record of shipping high-quality consumer experiences that drive engagement, retention, and measurable business outcomes. Familiarity with LLM-based systems (prompting, evaluation, retrieval, tools/agents, reinforcement or feedback loops) is essential. Strong product sense for consumer guided experiences (assistants, flows, onboarding, habit-forming products) and how to keep them intuitive, simple, and trustworthy is required. You should demonstrate ability to define and iterate on metrics (user-level, system-level, safety/quality) and have background in A/B testing, causal inference, or experimentation platforms. Excellent cross-functional communication and influence skills are critical.
