Midstream is an AI-native financial operating system for health systems, helping finance, supply chain, and managed care teams gain real-time visibility into margin risk and capture opportunities. The company transforms structured, unstructured, and external healthcare data into contract-aware insights powered by AI agents that unify spend and revenue operations across the back-office.
As Product Manager for Platform, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the foundational data infrastructure, core AI agents, and shared capabilities that power Midstream's products across supply chain, managed care, and pharmacy. This is the company's first Platform PM role, giving you the opportunity to define how AI and data architecture serve multiple product domains and scale across customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining platform strategy and roadmap: Decide which capabilities belong in the shared platform versus individual product domains, balancing speed of delivery with long-term scalability.
- Building a trusted data foundation: Partner with Engineering to shape how complex healthcare data is ingested, reconciled, modeled, and connected across products, contracts, vendors, and facilities. Drive LLM-powered contract extraction, product categorization, and entity resolution.
- Advancing AI and agentic capabilities: Own shared infrastructure for Midstream's AI agents. Work with Engineering and Research to establish how agents are built, evaluated, and improved.
- Making data quality a competitive advantage: Define standards, metrics, and monitoring for data quality. Ensure accuracy, reliability, and transparency give health systems confidence in insights and recommendations.
- Enabling product teams: Partner with PMs across domains to understand needs and build reusable capabilities that accelerate development and reduce onboarding complexity.
- Building for enterprise scale: Shape platform capabilities that meet security, privacy, compliance, and reliability expectations of large health systems.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management experience, including building enterprise analytics, data, or intelligence platforms supporting multiple products or business domains
- Strong technical fluency in data architecture: ingestion, data modeling, entity resolution, APIs, and multi-tenant systems
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered products; understanding of LLMs and agentic systems, including their opportunities, limitations, and evaluation challenges
- Deep focus on data quality, accuracy, explainability, and traceability in enterprise platforms
- Strategic, first-principles thinking with strong opinions about platform architecture versus individual product ownership
- Pragmatic builder mindset: comfortable shipping incrementally, learning from real-world usage, and evolving early solutions into scalable infrastructure
- Strong cross-functional communication and alignment skills across Product, Engineering, and Research
- Motivation to solve meaningful healthcare challenges using AI and modern data technology
- Plus: Experience with healthcare data ecosystems (EHR, ERP, supply chain, pharmacy, payer data); familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontologies, data catalogs, or master data management; early-stage company experience
