Abridge is an AI-powered healthcare platform that transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time. Founded in 2018, the company has built enterprise-grade technology with deep EMR integrations and is expanding beyond physicians into broader care team workflows.
As Product Lead for Nursing, you will own the nursing product journey end-to-end. This is a new and critical product area for Abridge, as nurses carry significant documentation and care coordination responsibilities, especially in inpatient and ED settings. You will lead discovery with nurses and nursing leaders, define product strategy, and work closely with engineering, design, clinical science, machine learning, and customer teams to build experiences that nurses use throughout their shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead nursing product strategy and discovery across inpatient, ED, and ambulatory use cases. Define the product vision and roadmap, identifying and prioritizing workflows that create measurable time savings and operational ROI for health systems.
- Conduct deep user research with nurses, nurse managers, and CNIOs to understand documentation patterns, care coordination gaps, and device-specific workflows. Test hypotheses quickly and iterate based on adoption, retention, and perceived time savings.
- Partner with engineering and design to build intuitive and reliable documentation and handoff experiences across mobile, desktop, and EHR surfaces. Support workflows including many-to-one documentation, team-based notes, carry-forward, and handoff summaries.
- Integrate deeply with EHR and enterprise environments. Work across Epic, Cerner, and Meditech workflows to ensure scalability within large hospital systems and align data flow with broader clinical context strategy.
- Establish KPIs such as time saved per shift, documentation completeness, task throughput, and workflow adoption. Build a clear path to monetization and demonstrate early value through design partners and beta deployments.
The role is hybrid with a preference for NYC but open to SF. You will shape the end-to-end nursing experience across Abridge surfaces and EHR integrations while partnering closely with clinical experts, engineering, design, and health system leaders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product management experience with 0-to-1 ownership in a complex domain
- Strong ability to understand and design for highly variable workflows across settings and roles
- Experience partnering closely with engineering, design, and ML teams
- Ability to translate strategic goals into clear product decisions, sequencing, and measurable outcomes
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where little exists
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with clinical audiences
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with clinical SMEs and health system stakeholders
- Direct experience with nursing, inpatient, or ED operational workflows
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
- Track record building productivity tools, workflow automation, or ambient intelligence products
- Background in health systems, health IT, or clinical operations
- Hands-on experience shipping products that deliver measurable operational or financial ROI in healthcare
