Beacon Software is building technology infrastructure for vertical market software companies—niche, founder-built businesses serving overlooked industries. The company acquires, operates, and grows these businesses permanently, backed by $550M+ in funding from top-tier investors including General Catalyst, Lightspeed, and D1 Capital. You'll join Beacon's Portfolio Product team as a hands-on Product Manager embedded across 2–5 portfolio companies simultaneously. This is not a consulting role; you ship software directly into businesses, working closely with GMs, operators, and customers to identify leverage points and drive measurable outcomes through AI and software. Core responsibilities include owning product outcomes for assigned companies, leading quarterly and annual planning, building and maintaining roadmaps that balance customer needs with business goals, driving sprint planning and execution, developing prioritization frameworks, building customer feedback systems, coordinating feature launches across functions, and coaching developers and designers. You'll distill learnings into cross-portfolio playbooks that scale impact across the entire vertical. As your scope grows, you may build and lead a team of PMs, set product standards across an industry segment, and own strategy for an entire vertical. The role requires 4+ years of product management experience (7+ for senior candidates), ideally in B2B SaaS, with strong fundamentals in roadmapping, sprint planning, spec writing, and prioritization. You should have sharp customer discovery instincts, comfort managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously, and the ability to influence without direct authority. Entrepreneurial mindset, high autonomy, low ego, and genuine comfort with ambiguity are essential. Ex-founders, founding PMs, or early product hires at high-growth startups are ideal candidates.
