HeartFlow is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the multi-year strategy for its portfolio of FDA-regulated cardiac imaging and diagnostic products. The role is a senior individual-contributor position focused on shaping how coronary artery disease diagnosis and management evolves in clinical practice. You will own product strategy across the portfolio—defining which clinical problems to solve, sequencing development bets, and making documented calls on what not to pursue. You will define performance targets and acceptable failure modes before development begins, working closely with Clinical and Regulatory teams on claims strategy and intended-use boundaries. Key responsibilities include mapping the full care pathway (referral through reimbursement), authoring user needs and system requirements for complex problems, serving as the product voice in FDA interactions (pre-submission, V&V planning, evidence design, post-market surveillance), and aligning cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, UX, clinical, QA/RA, marketing, support) around a single product intent without formal authority. You will maintain direct relationships with physicians, key opinion leaders, and health-system customers, bringing competitive and clinical insight back into roadmap decisions. You will provide leadership with honest, quantified views of portfolio risk and progress. Required qualifications: extensive product management experience with FDA-regulated software, including at least one product taken from concept through clearance/approval into routine use. Deep domain knowledge in cardiovascular disease, diagnostic imaging, multimodal risk assessment, or decision support. Fluency in medical product validation (study design, generalization, sensitivity/specificity trade-offs, real-world performance gaps). Working command of design controls, risk management, V&V, human factors, and post-market obligations. Strategic and quantitative rigor in framing ambiguous problems and defending recommendations with data.
