Snowflake seeks a Principal Value Advisor to lead the Value Advisory practice in Japan as the most senior individual contributor. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on quantifying and communicating business value to C-suite and board-level audiences. You will own the most complex, high-stakes engagements in the region—board presentations, competitive displacements, and strategic deal rescues. You'll operate at the intersection of business strategy, financial acumen, and persuasive communication, serving as a trusted advisor to sales leadership and customer executives. Key responsibilities include: leading executive value-discovery workshops with CXOs; developing comprehensive Value Assessments and post-sale Value Realization Studies; mastering the "3 Whys" (Why Change, Why Snowflake, Why Now); and creating intellectual property—calculators, frameworks, benchmarking databases—that become organizational standards. You'll advance financial-modeling methodologies (NPV, ROI, TCO, IRR) and operationalize the Value Engineering–Sales integration model. Beyond execution, you'll drive thought leadership through original research and industry conference participation, mentor Value Advisors across levels, and shape team culture and direction. You'll advise Product on roadmap and value frameworks, influencing how the market understands Snowflake's value proposition. Required: 10+ years in Value Engineering, Customer Success, Management Consulting (Tier 1 preferred), or strategic value-added sales, with a proven track record of creating methodologies or IP adopted organization-wide. Native or business-fluent Japanese and fluent English are essential; you'll lead C-suite conversations and author deliverables in both languages. Strong understanding of Japanese enterprise business culture and executive engagement practices required. Executive presence, gravitas, and comfort commanding board-level rooms are critical.
