Cloudflare is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect for the Public Sector Federal team, based in Washington, DC with remote flexibility. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to large government and education customers, helping them navigate digital transformation using Cloudflare's edge cloud platform.
You will be responsible for defining tailored technical visions and multi-year roadmaps with strategic accounts, guiding them through the journey of replacing or migrating from legacy edge cloud and on-premises technologies. Your deep understanding of government regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, and the unique drivers of technology decisions in the public sector will be critical. You'll engage credibly across technical domains while articulating how Cloudflare's platform delivers tangible mission outcomes—increased security, improved service delivery, and enhanced user experience.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining long-term technical relationships with strategic accounts, ensuring successful design and adoption of Cloudflare infrastructure; identifying and driving strategic conversations with key stakeholders (CIOs, CISOs, agency executives) to increase market reputation and authority; collaborating with specialists and subject matter experts across functions to enhance engagement depth; and supporting the full lifecycle from account planning and vision-setting through solution design and business value assessment.
You will also contribute your industry expertise to guide Cloudflare's go-to-market strategy and platform evolution, scaling your knowledge across the wider pre-sales organization. Travel up to 40% quarterly to support partner engagements and industry conferences. This is a highly visible role on a structured team focused on the strategic government and education segment.
