Lead Bank is a banking infrastructure platform enabling fintechs to build compliant, programmable financial services at scale. The company operates as an API-first, developer-focused partner bank with FDIC insurance, serving clients who need modern infrastructure for payments, lending, and digital assets. The Principal Product Manager will lead the development of Lead's Banking as a Service platform, defining product strategy and overseeing a team of product managers. This role requires breaking down complex banking and regulatory challenges into intuitive, developer-friendly solutions. Key responsibilities include: - Defining product strategy aligned with company vision and goals - Using first-principles thinking to understand complex financial domains - Developing and maintaining prioritized product roadmaps with clear business justification - Setting measurable success metrics and driving data-informed decisions - Maintaining technical and operational knowledge to make informed product decisions - Creating clear product requirements and communicating effectively with engineering and design - Collaborating across compliance, operations, and other functions to drive execution - Managing and mentoring a team of product managers, including hiring and resource allocation - Gathering customer insights to inform roadmap prioritization - Making trade-off decisions balancing user value, technical complexity, and business impact The ideal candidate has 10+ years in product management or engineering with a track record building fintech products. Required experience includes enterprise software, scalable SaaS platform design, and compliance-centric products. Strong technical competence is essential, with demonstrated success building high-velocity, low-latency, high-availability services with elegant API design. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, cross-functional collaboration ability, and humility.
