Cognite is seeking a Principal Product Manager to define product strategy and lead the development of Cognite Data Fusion®, an award-winning industrial data platform recognized as the 2022 Technology Innovation Leader for Global Digital Industrial Platforms. This role is central to transforming asset-intensive industries—making them safer, more sustainable, and more profitable—by enabling data-driven decision-making across Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utility sectors.
You will own product direction, strategy, and roadmap for Cognite Data Fusion, with a focus on improved usability, accelerated time to value, and integration of new AI technologies. Working in an autonomous, cross-functional team environment, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, domain experts, and business leaders to build next-generation industrial data solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining product strategy and roadmap focused on usability and AI integration
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding user needs through direct engagement and building products that drive success
- Partnering with go-to-market and customer teams to enable offerings and ensure successful launches
- Mentoring junior colleagues and leading complex product development projects across global teams
- Articulating clear, well-structured product requirement documentation that guides engineering and design

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS product management roles, ideally within industrial OT and IT space
- Strong understanding of how industrial data is collected, stored, and utilized
- User-centric mindset with genuine passion for understanding user needs and designing intuitive solutions for complex technical problems
- Experience managing feature delivery and tradeoffs for complex product areas
- Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups (customer executives, engineers, data scientists)
- Track record of successful product launches involving AI technologies
- Comfortable learning about and actively using new AI developments for work efficiency
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues and leading complex projects across global teams
- Leadership potential and ambition to grow into people management roles
- Fluent English for working in English-speaking environment
