Twilio is seeking a Principal Presales Engineer to join the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) segment sales team. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on enabling customers to build communications solutions using Twilio's platform.
You will lead the technical pre-sales relationship with ISV customers, driving technical discovery, proposing architectures, demonstrating products, and building trust in Twilio's solutions. The role requires comfort engaging with C-suite executives and technical engineers alike, translating business needs into technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives on opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, RFPs, and technical presentations. You'll establish yourself as a trusted advisor by understanding customer pain points and designing innovative solutions. You'll build complex, interactive product demonstrations showcasing Twilio's communications capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Beyond individual deals, you'll contribute to the broader Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing, creating demonstration materials, and mentoring less experienced engineers. You'll be autonomous on most opportunities, capable of driving the technical side independently while providing leadership and deal support on medium to large projects. You'll participate in architectural decisions and coordinate with product and other Twilio teams.
This is a fully remote role with occasional in-person requirements for team gatherings, functional off-sites, or customer meetings. Twilio is remote-first and values diverse backgrounds and non-traditional career paths.
