Celonis is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to design transformative solution architectures for enterprise clients. This role combines deep technical expertise with executive presence, requiring you to present to C-level executives and translate strategic goals into actionable technical plans.
You will lead architecture, data, and cloud strategy for major client accounts, focusing on enterprise modernization and capability mapping. Key responsibilities include engaging with C-level executives to align their strategic objectives with Celonis technical strategy, driving innovation through emerging technologies like Agentic AI, and serving as a bridge between Celonis product/engineering teams and client teams.
You will assess IT landscape maturity across the customer base, participate in pre-sales and post-sales phases, coach consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation, and develop reusable assets and customer-facing thought leadership content. Your work spans architecture assessment, integration patterns, performance optimization, and scalability challenges.
The role demands 10-15 years of relevant experience as a software vendor architect, CTO at a top consulting firm, or enterprise architect at a customer organization. You must demonstrate strategic thinking, connecting technical solutions to business value, with excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to executives.
Required expertise includes cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, ECC), CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics), ServiceNow, cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise architectures. Strong background in data architecture, integration patterns, and development experience with SQL and Python is essential. You should be comfortable switching between explaining architecture diagrams and coding/assembling technical demos.
An MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related degree is required. Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages (Spanish, German, French, Italian) are advantageous. Preferred qualifications include Celonis certifications, experience with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines, and AWS/Azure/GCP certifications.
