Envoy is a workplace management platform that unifies visitor management, risk assessment, mailroom management, digital signage, resource booking, and emergency management for over 16,000 workplaces globally. The company integrates deeply with access control, identity, compliance, and collaboration tools across manufacturing, data centers, life sciences, healthcare, and corporate environments. As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, you will partner with EMEA account executives to lead the technical side of sales engagements, including technical demonstrations, requirements discovery, proof-of-concept scoping, and expectation-setting for Mid-Market, Enterprise, and Channel deals. You will own security and compliance reviews for EMEA opportunities, managing security questionnaires, RFPs, data protection agreements, data residency questions, and direct conversations with prospect security, privacy, and legal teams. You will work fluently across Envoy's integration ecosystem (identity providers, access control, calendar, HRIS systems) and credibly discuss the Developer & Integration Platform and API capabilities to customers building custom extensions. You will investigate technical issues through logs and data to isolate and escalate product bugs rather than passing them unqualified. You will serve as the voice of EMEA customers in roadmap discussions, bringing regional requirements—regulatory, cultural, and competitive—to the Product team with actionable specificity. Additionally, you will level up the revenue team on technical topics including SAML, SCIM, OAuth, directory synchronization, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week in the NYC office (Monday–Thursday), with early start times (6–7am ET) on days supporting the London office. You will travel to prospect and partner engagements, including international EMEA travel, approximately 30% annually. Ideal candidates are scrappy self-starters who own projects end-to-end on small teams with undefined scope. You are security-conscious, treat customer data posture as defensible, and genuinely help teammates improve. You have working knowledge of EU data protection (GDPR, DPAs, data residency, transfer mechanisms, sub-processor disclosure) from enterprise deal experience. You are comfortable with identity and access technologies (SAML, SSO, SCIM, OAuth, directory services), understand internet fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, TLS, certificates), and have intermediate SQL knowledge. You communicate effectively with senior technical stakeholders (IT directors, CISOs, privacy counsel) and developers, work effectively across time zones and cultural contexts, and are willing to travel internationally.
