Gradle is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to join their sales organization and work on the front lines with customers, prospects, and partners. You will guide enterprise organizations on optimizing engineering productivity by improving software build and testing processes. Develocity is the context-engineering layer for AI-driven software delivery, used by leading organizations like Netflix, Airbnb, Spotify, SAP, and major global banks. The platform provides deep observability, build and test acceleration, and AI-powered intelligence across the entire toolchain.
In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and develop enterprise opportunities using MEDDIC methodology. You will conduct customer discovery, deliver compelling software demos, solution presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements that showcase Develocity's value proposition from technical, business, and financial perspectives. You will bring structured customer feedback to Product Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams to inform product roadmap decisions.
You will work across a hardened sales organization that provides qualification and prioritization processes, a strong product addressing real daily problems for software developers and engineering leaders, a standardized evaluation process delivering immediate technical value and ROI within days, and a referenceable network of brand-name customers and open-source partners.
The role requires up to 35% travel to customer sites and events across Europe. You will need 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Consulting in enterprise environments. Technical familiarity is essential with observability tooling (Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace), build tools (Maven, Gradle, Android, Bazel, npm, Python), CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD), artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus), and software supply chain security. Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills are required.
