Salary: USD 93,820 - 125,081 / annual
Babylist is seeking an Inventory Planner to own replenishment and order writing for the Furniture and Monitors categories. This role manages inventory flow across a heavily dropship vendor base, balancing in-stock performance against longer lead times and fulfillment complexity. You will report to Division 3 Planning and collaborate closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance to maintain category health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute replenishment and order writing across Furniture and Monitors, keeping inventory aligned to forecast and in-stock targets
- Manage a dropship vendor base, tracking availability, coordinating delivery timing, and resolving discrepancies before they impact customers
- Own monthly Open-to-Buy inputs including trend analysis, risk flags, and forecast updates
- Deliver weekly sales and inventory recaps with actionable insights for the planning team
- Build pre-season inventory forecasts at category, brand, and SKU levels
- Track out-of-stocks and discontinued items, proactively communicating risk to internal partners
- Partner with Merchandising on new product introductions and assortment changes

Requirements:
- Hands-on experience managing dropship inventory, including planning, tracking, vendor coordination, and proactive outage prevention
- Proven track record owning replenishment and order writing for complex categories (long lead times, freight considerations, or fragmented vendor bases)
- Comfort working in planning systems daily with ability to quickly learn new tools (NetSuite, Sigma, or similar platforms)
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Strong foundation in retail math and inventory planning concepts (OTB, WOS, sell-through)
- Clear communication with vendors and cross-functional partners, especially when flagging risk early
- Active use of AI tools in daily work to move faster and improve output; curiosity about emerging AI capabilities
