Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Personnel Security Specialist to support its Industrial Security team in Quincy, Massachusetts. The role is part of a specialized security team responsible for managing cleared personnel, classified programs, and secure facilities at the intersection of cutting-edge defense technology and stringent security requirements. You will serve as a member of Anduril's Security Services Team supporting employees throughout the United States. Working within a collaborative team environment, you will take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions while communicating information effectively to various audiences orally and in writing. You will leverage expertise with US government security policies and procedures as they relate to the personnel security program. Key responsibilities include: - Managing and initiating personnel clearance background investigations and processing visit access requests (VARs) and mandatory SEAD 3 reporting via Defense Information System for Security (DISS) - Providing employees with personnel security guidance consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines to assist them in managing their clearances - Handling in-person and virtual requests and inquiries pertaining to Security Services Help Requests, Security Information Management System (SIMS), security forms, incoming/outgoing visit requests, new hire orientation briefings, cleared employee training, foreign national contacts, and foreign travel briefings - Processing visitor requests and entering clearance information into the visitor database - Coordinating classified meetings requiring VARs and liaising between Security Services and meeting hosts - Managing clearances for SCI billeted programs, preparing nomination packages, coordinating with customer sponsors, and assisting with indoctrination and debriefing appointments - Managing the internal security database with clearance, access, visit, and adverse information - Communicating with Anduril employees on additional information requests - Enforcing Anduril's security policies and procedures - Updating databases for clearance and visitor tracking - Ensuring Anduril information in DISS is accurate and timely - Assisting the Security Services Team as needed You will maintain responsibility for updates to various databases, security clearance processing, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness. You will address personnel security matters and other clearance-related actions for personnel requiring clearances for collateral and SCI positions. Daily interaction with internal and external clients and government security officials will be required to resolve issues. REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma and two years of related administrative and customer service experience - Excellent organization and tracking skills, with strong attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced environment - Experience with conducting briefings and debriefings; ability to clearly explain security processes and procedures - Experience with DoD 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) - Experience with DoD Manual 5105.21 Volumes 1 and 3 - Experience with DoD clearance processes such as DISS, NBIS, eAPP, SF86, and SIMS (desired) - Proficiency in use of computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Ability to communicate and interact professionally and courteously both orally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests - Reliable attendance and punctuality required; Anduril is an "in-person" office - Ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize workload based on urgency - Must hold a current U.S. Secret security clearance - Familiarity with DISS and NBIS - Familiarity with SIMS or other security software
