Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 / annual
Boston Scientific is seeking a Peripheral Vascular Consultant to drive sales and expand market presence in the vascular therapies space. Based in Salt Lake City with territory coverage across Utah, southeastern Idaho, and Billings, Montana, this role combines clinical expertise with consultative selling to hospital systems and interventional physicians.
You will develop new accounts and expand product usage within existing accounts, managing a portfolio of innovative vascular solutions including Angiojet, Zelante DVT, thrombectomy catheters, EKOS, peripheral guide wires, drug-eluting stents, balloons, atherectomy devices, and IVUS systems. The role requires 50-60% travel throughout the territory.
Key responsibilities include: scheduling and conducting sales calls to meet revenue and unit growth targets; developing and implementing account-specific sales strategies; analyzing quarterly and monthly sales data to identify growth opportunities; conducting in-depth needs assessments with physicians and hospital personnel; observing procedures in labs and operating rooms to understand clinical workflows; establishing competitive pricing packages; managing customer concerns and developing solutions in collaboration with clinical, pricing, and marketing teams; building relationships with hospital decision-makers; and educating customers on product merits and proper clinical usage through presentations and demonstrations.
You will work closely with your Regional Sales Manager and cross-functional teams to achieve annual sales goals while maintaining strong clinical knowledge of the vascular disease space, including deep vein thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome, pulmonary embolism, and compressive diseases.
Required: minimum 2 years medical device sales experience and 5 years total sales experience (or equivalent combination with relevant education). Preferred: four-year degree with sales background and proven track record of success. Strong clinical, analytical, and selling skills essential. Ability to manage multiple accounts, solve problems collaboratively, and respond to coaching.
