Flint is a self-improving system for performance marketing that connects to brands' ad accounts and optimizes them through instant page creation and continuous learning loops. The company has recently signed a Fortune 10 customer and achieved a 50% reduction in customer acquisition cost within 48 hours. Flint is backed by Accel, Sheryl Sandberg's venture fund SBVP, and Neo.
In this role, you will own Google Ads performance for a portfolio of brands and agency partners, with Meta Ads joining soon. You'll identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve conversion rates, and scale profitable acquisition through rigorous optimization. Your responsibilities include reviewing search terms, audiences, budgets, bids, creative, tracking, and landing-page performance; building new campaigns; and repairing or rebuilding accounts that need stronger foundations in execution and measurement.
You will make decisions based on customer growth goals rather than vanity metrics, translate complex account data into clear recommendations customers can act on quickly, and partner with Client Services on reporting, customer communication, and growth planning. You'll help customers set targets, evaluate results, and decide what to test next. A critical part of the role is using Flint in live accounts to identify product gaps and push the platform to improve, while bringing recurring customer problems and opportunities directly to product and engineering for collaborative ideation.
You'll also help establish how Flint manages and measures paid acquisition across every customer account. This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and works closely with Client Services, Product, and Engineering. You'll work directly in customer accounts and stay close to results—you won't write recommendations and hand them off; you'll take action to improve performance. When the product gets something wrong, you're expected to challenge it and provide feedback to build a better system.
Flint's team is composed of founding engineers and founders from companies like Netflix, Scale, and Shepherd (YC W21), with co-founders Michelle Lim (former Engineer #1 and Head of Growth at Warp) and Max Levenson (former engineering leadership at autonomous vehicle startup Nuro). The team works in person out of historic Jackson Square in San Francisco.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Years of hands-on paid acquisition experience across ideally 2+ verticals (DTC, e-commerce, B2C, B2B, etc.)
- Deep experience with Google Ads and strong working knowledge of Meta Ads
- Track record of managing meaningful budgets and being accountable for outcomes
- Strong knowledge of conversion tracking, attribution, and landing-page testing
- Good judgment about when an account needs optimization versus rebuilding
- Ability to explain performance clearly to customers with different levels of experience
- Strong written communication and close attention to detail
- Habit of investigating problems instead of working around them
- Agency experience especially relevant; comfort managing several accounts simultaneously without losing sight of performance-driving details
- Experience with e-commerce, B2B, or subscription businesses is a plus
