As People Partner based in Kigali, Rwanda, you will be a strategic HR leader embedded within Zipline's growing operations across Rwanda (Kigali, Muhanga, and Kayonza). You will shape the people strategy that enables teams to perform, grow, and deliver impact as the organization scales.
Key responsibilities include: developing deep business context around scaling operations in Rwanda; partnering with operational leaders to strengthen team effectiveness and accountability; championing Zipline's culture and values through engagement, coaching, and performance conversations; leading workforce planning and organizational design initiatives; strengthening onboarding and integration for new hires and internal transfers; enabling a culture of timely performance feedback; providing constructive feedback to leaders; leading performance calibration and compensation reviews; designing scalable people processes fit for Zipline's operating environment; and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws while managing employee concerns and investigations with discretion.
You will bring 5-8 years of HR or People experience, with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across organizational levels, lead organizational change, and resolve complex people dynamics. You are visible and approachable with a strong pulse on employee experience, confident in delivering direct feedback to leaders, and skilled at simplifying complex issues into practical solutions. You operate with high discretion, impartiality, and objectivity. You must have legal right to work in Rwanda and be willing to travel frequently to Muhanga, Kayonza, and internationally as required.
