Clutch, a vertical SaaS platform backed by Andreessen Horowitz, is seeking a People Operations Generalist to build and scale the operational backbone of the People function. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, launching, and running the programs and systems that shape the employee experience at a fast-growing fintech company serving credit unions.
You will own end-to-end execution across core HR operations: onboarding and offboarding workflows, employee lifecycle management, compliance documentation, benefits administration, performance and compensation cycles, and employee engagement and recognition programs. You'll work closely with People leadership (who sets strategy), and cross-functional partners in IT, Legal, and Finance to identify friction points, automate manual processes, and build repeatable systems.
Key responsibilities include: managing HR systems and vendor relationships (payroll, HRIS, LMS); serving as the responsive point of contact for employee questions; ensuring compliance across all states where Clutch operates; owning day-to-day US benefits administration including open enrollment; leading communications and playbooks for performance review cycles; and shaping the employee recognition program. You'll also take a visible role in company-wide engagement initiatives and celebrations.
This role requires 4-6+ years in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Generalist roles with demonstrated program management experience. You should be comfortable launching company-wide programs from concept through execution, managing vendor relationships, and applying systems thinking to redesign workflows. Strong working knowledge of multi-state employment law and HR compliance is essential. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities while maintaining sound judgment on escalation. Experience with AI agents and automations to optimize HR operations is valued.
Clutch offers remote flexibility, twice-yearly in-person offsites, flexible PTO, stock options, home office setup budget, work trip budget, and comprehensive health and dental coverage.
