Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 / annual

Blank Street is a fast-growing food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining brand of its generation. The People Operations Partner is a trusted HR business partner supporting the Operations team across multiple NYC-area markets during a period of significant growth. You will be the primary people operations resource for store General Managers and Operations Managers, driving a high-performing, people-first culture. This role blends strategic partnership with hands-on execution, requiring frequent travel across markets and stores. Key responsibilities span four pillars: **Hire:** Partner with Talent Acquisition and Operations on hiring strategy, interview calibration, and workforce planning. Assess talent quality and team fit, ensure smooth onboarding from offer through ramp-up, and proactively identify staffing gaps and organizational needs. **Develop:** Coach GMs, Shift Leads, and Operations Managers on performance management, feedback, and team dynamics. Drive execution of people programs including performance coaching frameworks and engagement action planning. Support internal promotions, succession planning, and leadership development. Help leaders navigate difficult conversations with confidence and consistency. **Retain:** Lead employee relations matters and investigations from intake through resolution with strong documentation and professionalism. Identify trends in turnover, attendance, engagement, and performance. Act as a trusted resource balancing employee experience with business needs. Build strong relationships to maintain visibility into team health and morale. **Protect the Business:** Partner cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Training, Finance, and Operations. Use people data and operational trends to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support business decision-making. You must have 4+ years of HR or People Ops experience, ideally in fast-paced retail or hospitality. You need working knowledge of labor laws and compliance (I-9s, wage & hour, documentation standards), proven ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume environments, and comfort with HR systems (HRIS, ATS, Google Suite). Strong organizational skills, discretion with sensitive information, and sound judgment are essential. Must be NYC-based with flexibility to travel throughout the market.
