Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 / annual
Blank Street is a fast-growing food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining brand of its generation. The People Operations Partner is a trusted HR partner supporting the Operations team across multiple markets during a period of significant growth.
This role blends strategic partnership with hands-on execution, supporting store teams in Brooklyn and across markets. You'll work closely with General Managers and Operations Managers to strengthen teams, elevate performance, and enhance the employee experience. The position requires frequent travel across markets and stores.
Key responsibilities span four pillars:
Hire: Partner with Talent Acquisition and Operations on hiring strategy, interview calibration, and workforce planning. Assess talent quality and team fit, ensure smooth onboarding from offer through ramp-up, and proactively identify staffing gaps and organizational needs.
Develop: Coach GMs, Shift Leads, and Operations Managers on performance management, feedback, and team dynamics. Drive execution of people programs including performance coaching frameworks and engagement planning. Support internal promotions, succession planning, and leadership development. Help leaders navigate difficult conversations with confidence and consistency.
Retain: Lead employee relations matters and investigations from intake through resolution with strong documentation and professionalism. Identify trends in turnover, attendance, and engagement, partnering with Operations to take proactive action. Build strong relationships across markets to maintain visibility into team health and morale.
Protect the Business: Partner cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Training, Finance, and Operations. Use people data and operational trends to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support business decision-making.
You'll report to the HRBP Manager and work from the Brooklyn office with flexibility to travel as needed. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, builds relationships quickly, operates with sound judgment, and genuinely enjoys supporting people.
