Ramp is a fintech platform automating accounts payable and spend management for 70,000+ companies, processing over $200B in annualized spend. The company is expanding globally and seeking a Global Mobility & Immigration Operations Manager to lead its immigration and global mobility function as the People Operations team scales from one to two people. In this hands-on role, you will own the full lifecycle of visa cases across the U.S., UK, and Canada, managing everything from offer stage through renewals and permanent residency in partnership with external counsel. You'll serve as an internal immigration expert, advising recruiters on visa eligibility and sponsorship options while shaping the company's immigration strategy through benchmarking, policy definition, and vendor management. You'll design and manage a seamless relocation process for employees and their families, handling end-to-end international relocation cases and providing clear guidance on mobility-related questions. As Ramp expands into new countries, you'll extend immigration and relocation support to additional markets. You'll act as the internal connector across Legal, Finance, Payroll, HR Business Partners, and immigration counsel, owning compliance for all countries where Ramp operates. This includes managing cross-border remote work, business travel, and international employment classification. You'll build playbooks for entering new markets, covering payroll, employment law, immigration, and cultural considerations, and establish international business travel guidelines. Required: 5+ years in People Operations, global mobility, immigration, or compliance in a global context. You need strong vendor management skills, experience building processes at scaling companies, full ownership and accountability, genuine compassion for people navigating high-stakes situations, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills to translate complexity into plain language. You should be highly organized, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to balance action with sound compliance judgment. Nice-to-haves include experience standing up immigration/mobility functions in APAC, EU, or LatAm, and prior experience at high-growth startups navigating rapid global expansion.
