Salary: USD 130,000 - 164,000 / annual

Sila Nanotechnologies is a next-generation battery materials company on a mission to power the world's transition to clean energy. They engineer and manufacture breakthrough battery materials that significantly increase energy density while reducing size and weight, enabling smaller, more powerful batteries for consumer devices and electric vehicles. As a People Operations Generalist II, you will ensure flawless execution of core People team processes and programs. This is a hands-on operational role supporting the full employee lifecycle and HR infrastructure at a growing, mission-driven company. Key responsibilities include: - Administer and execute People programs: compensation, benefits, leave management, immigration, background checks, training and development compliance - Maintain compliance with federal, state (California, Washington), and local employment laws and regulations - Manage HRIS systems, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and open enrollment - Handle immigration matters and workers' compensation administration - Create, track, and report on HR metrics including employee engagement, turnover, and training compliance - Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies - Support effective People policies and best practices at a scaling organization You'll work with systems including ADP WorkforceNow, Greenhouse, Lattice, and ChartHop. The role requires strong knowledge of immigration law, employment regulations, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and integrity. This is a full-time, in-office position in Alameda, CA (Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm). Minimum 5 years of people operations or HR generalist experience required, plus a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
