Data.ai (formerly Sensor Tower) is seeking a People Operations Business Partner to join their New York office. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting employees and advising managers and leadership across a global organization.
You will own frontline employee relations, managing complex cases end-to-end while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally sound outcomes. You'll partner closely with managers to solve day-to-day people issues, coaching on performance management, feedback, and difficult conversations. A key responsibility is managing employment matters across the company's international footprint (AMER, EMEA, APAC), building deep multi-jurisdiction employment law knowledge and working with PEOs, external counsel, and local advisors.
You'll provide clear, pragmatic HR policy guidance and contribute to policy updates alongside legal counsel. The role includes supporting contractor and non-employee populations, navigating distinct compliance and relationship issues. You'll use people data to spot trends and work with managers on practical solutions, advise on retention actions such as pay adjustments and promotions, and leverage AI tooling to increase efficiency across casework, drafting, and analysis.
Additional responsibilities include supporting delivery of people programs and systems, including hands-on training rollout and program delivery around performance reviews, talent calibration, role design, and training initiatives.
You should bring progressive experience across multiple HR disciplines (operations, compensation, organizational design, L&D, employee relations, inclusion, performance management) and demonstrated ability to support international leaders and teams with practical awareness of local employment laws. Experience resolving complex employee relations issues in fast-scaling or tech environments is essential. You'll need strong relationship-building skills, particularly in high-tension and legally sensitive situations, and the ability to act as an objective, influential advisor. Experience building training programs from the ground up, exceptional time management, proactive problem-solving, and fluency with modern HRIS/ATS tools (HiBob, Deel, Ashby) are required.
