Data.ai (formerly Sensor Tower) is seeking a People Operations Business Partner to join their Vancouver office. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that combines frontline employee relations casework with broader people program delivery across an international organization. You will own complex employee relations matters end-to-end, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally sound outcomes. You'll partner closely with managers to coach on performance management, feedback delivery, and difficult conversations. A key responsibility is managing employment matters across a global workforce spanning AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions, building deep multi-jurisdiction employment law knowledge and collaborating with PEOs, external counsel, and local advisors. You will provide clear, pragmatic HR policy guidance and contribute to policy updates alongside legal teams. You'll support contractor and non-employee populations, navigating distinct compliance and relationship issues. Using people data, you'll spot trends and work with managers on practical retention and engagement fixes. You'll advise on retention actions including pay adjustments, promotions, and recognition programs, and leverage AI tooling to increase efficiency across casework, drafting, and analysis. Additionally, you'll support delivery of people programs and systems, including hands-on training rollout and HRIS/ATS administration. Ideal candidates bring progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines (operations, compensation, organizational design, L&D, employee relations, inclusion, performance management). You should have demonstrated success supporting international leaders and teams with practical awareness of local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. Experience resolving complex employee relations issues in fast-scaling or tech environments is essential. You'll need strong relationship-building skills, the ability to act as an objective advisor in high-tension situations, and proven capability designing training programs from the ground up. Exceptional time management, proactive problem-solving, and fluency with modern HRIS/ATS tools (HiBob, Deel, Ashby) are required.
