Salary: USD 46 - 52 / hourly
Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group delivering 24/7 virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care for children with special healthcare needs and medical complexity. The company works alongside families, providers, and health plans to enhance existing care teams with compassion and innovation.
As a Pediatric In-Home & Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will serve as a clinical bridge between home-based care and virtual acute care operations. You will deliver high-quality, family-centered care in members' homes and community settings while flexing into virtual acute care nursing to support urgent pediatric needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Travel to members' homes and community settings (80% travel requirement) to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care
- Build trusted, compassionate relationships with children and families, ensuring coordinated, culturally responsive care
- Collaborate within an integrated care team including physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists
- Conduct and document in-home assessments; perform clinical procedures such as ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IV placement and lab draws, wound care, and medication administration
- Provide patient and family education, follow-up care, and care coordination using the Imagine Pediatrics platform
- Flex into the virtual acute care RN role to conduct virtual assessments and manage urgent pediatric needs using established protocols
- Document care in the EMR (Athena) and communicate with families through Imagine Pediatrics' proprietary application
- Utilize virtual platforms and digital tools confidently to support care delivery
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm local time, with flexibility based on member needs, visit locations, and virtual acute care support.
Location requirement: Must reside in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, or District of Columbia.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active RN compact license (required)
- PALS & BLS certifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) (required)
- Minimum 3+ years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally including high-acuity settings (ED, urgent care, transport, or similar) (required)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record (required)
- Comfort driving long distances in varied weather conditions (required)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in the home environment (required)
- Comfort with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools (required)
- EMS (EMT/P) experience and 2+ years of pediatric home care experience (preferred)
- 1–2 years in pediatric emergency medicine experience (preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
