Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group reimagining care for children with special healthcare needs. The company delivers 24/7 virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care.
As a Pediatric In-Home & Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will serve as the clinical bridge between home-based care and virtual acute care. You will deliver high-quality, family-centered care in members' homes and community settings while flexing into virtual acute care nursing to support urgent pediatric needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Travel to members' homes and community settings to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care (80% travel required)
- Build trusted, compassionate relationships with children and families, ensuring coordinated, culturally responsive care
- Collaborate within an integrated care team including physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists
- Conduct and document in-home assessments; perform procedures such as ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IV placement and lab draws, wound care, and medication administration
- Provide patient and family education, follow-up care, and care coordination using the Imagine Pediatrics platform
- Flex into the virtual acute care RN role to conduct virtual assessments and manage urgent pediatric needs using established protocols
- Document care in the EMR (Athena) and communicate with families through Imagine Pediatrics' proprietary application
- Utilize virtual platforms and digital tools confidently to support care delivery
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm local time, with flexibility based on member needs, visit locations, and virtual acute care support.
Location requirement: Must reside in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, or District of Columbia.
Requirements:
- Active RN compact license (required)
- PALS & BLS certification (required)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) (required)
- Minimum 3+ years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally including high-acuity settings (ED, urgent care, transport, or similar)
- 1–2 years in pediatric emergency medicine experience
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record
- Comfort driving long distances in varied weather conditions
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in the home environment
- Comfort with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools
- EMS (EMT/P) experience and 2+ years of pediatric home care experience (preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
