Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is an innovative space, defense, and national security technology company committed to delivering transformative, mission-critical solutions. The Payroll Specialist will support the Payroll Manager within the Workforce Systems & Payroll team, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid or remote arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review timecard data prior to payroll submission, investigate root causes of errors, and ensure data accuracy
- Collaborate with HR Leadership team members to ensure smooth payroll cycles and timely transactions
- Work with third-party payroll providers to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (taxes, termination payments, deductions, etc.)
- Compile periodic reports for payroll, worker's compensation, and special management requests
- Interact and communicate across all levels of the company
- Maintain integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records
The ideal candidate will have current experience working with Workday Payroll and ADP systems.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience including understanding of multi-state payroll
- Proficiency with Excel and experience with Workday Payroll
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience with NetSuite
