ComplyAdvantage is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations across expanding international regions. This role sits at the intersection of HR, Finance, and compliance, requiring someone who thrives in fast-paced, multinational environments and leverages automation to scale processes. Key responsibilities include executing timely and accurate monthly and semi-monthly payroll processing; collecting and centralizing payroll supporting information (personal details, leaves, salary changes, bonuses, benefits); collaborating with HR to verify payroll changes; and maintaining relationships with outsourced payroll providers. You'll serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries via email, Jira, and Slack, managing requests promptly within agreed SLAs. Additional duties encompass payroll reconciliations and reporting to ensure 100% accuracy, supporting audit periods, raising payroll payments for Finance approval, performing pre- and post-payroll validation checks, monitoring legislative and compliance changes, ensuring secure handling of sensitive payroll data, and supporting global-scale payroll project implementations. From time to time, you'll manage complex employee lifecycle cases (terminations, retroactive adjustments, off-cycle payments), coordinate payroll data integrations between internal systems (HRIS, time tracking, finance), own payroll data quality through audits and cleansing, collaborate cross-functionally to improve efficiency, develop internal controls to reduce errors, support system updates and testing, and maintain audit readiness through documentation. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Human Resources, Psychology, or Sociology; intermediate to advanced Excel skills; experience with case ticketing management (preferably Jira); 1–2 years of relevant payroll operations experience; experience in multinational environments with rapid growth; and experience administering payroll across multiple regions in different currencies.
