Salary: USD 64,000 - 70,000 / annual
Devoted Health, a healthcare company focused on improving outcomes for older Americans, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join its finance team. This role owns core payroll functions including bi-weekly processing in Workday, multi-jurisdiction tax compliance via ADP SmartCompliance, and employee payroll support.
Key responsibilities include: processing bi-weekly payroll end-to-end with data analysis between Workday and HR submission files; serving as the primary point of contact for employee payroll questions; verifying timesheet accuracy and supervisor approvals; analyzing new hire and termination information; preparing payroll reports for annual audits; running weekly new hire payroll orientation; supporting salary and benefit expense reconciliation; setting up and maintaining state and local tax jurisdictions in Workday; administering garnishments in ADP SmartCompliance; collaborating with the People team on payroll reporting; processing off-cycle and on-demand payments; and training offshore team members on payroll processes.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience including multi-jurisdiction bi-weekly processing in Workday; proficiency with ADP SmartCompliance for tax filings and wage garnishments; working knowledge of US federal, state, and local withholding tax requirements; strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments; experience with manual payroll adjustments; excellent customer service and team collaboration skills; critical thinking and sound judgment.
Desired qualifications include proactive problem-solving, ability to research and apply tax law, spreadsheet and database proficiency, strong communication skills, and a bachelor's degree. The role reports to finance leadership and requires direct collaboration across the organization.
