Kovo is a fintech startup expanding access to financial tools for people historically excluded from the traditional credit system. Backed by Inspired Capital and Homebrew, Kovo is built by alumni from Plaid, Experian, Chime, Robinhood, and other leading fintech and tech companies.
As the first Partnerships & Influencer Marketer and third marketing hire, you will own influencer, creator, and affiliate partnerships as a real acquisition channel. Your core responsibilities include sourcing and vetting creators, negotiating partnership terms (moving deals toward CPA and hybrid structures), managing relationships, and maintaining a high-velocity pipeline from first contact to live placement.
You will turn creator relationships into performance media by securing whitelisting and Spark ad rights, feeding creator content into paid social accounts (Meta, TikTok, Google), and working alongside the performance marketing team. You own channel outcomes—CPA and acquisition volume—using attribution and incrementality readouts (promo codes, vanity URLs, holdouts) to reprice deals, kill underperformers, and double down on winners.
Additionally, you will build the playbook for scaling this function: deal templates, standard usage-rights terms, partner scorecards, and processes. You'll extend the brand through organic social presence, creator collaborations, co-marketing, podcast appearances, and earned-media placements with finance publishers, always keeping acquisition outcomes first.
The role requires operating independently, driving clarity where it doesn't exist, and building a function from the ground up. You'll work in a small, high-performing remote team where roles and priorities evolve quickly, systems are still being built, and the pace of execution and career growth is intense.
