Via Transportation is transforming public mobility through technology. As a Partner Success Manager on the Student Transit team, you'll be the primary point of contact for school districts and local government partners, blending strategic relationship management, operational data analysis, and consultative problem-solving.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to superintendents and transportation directors, understanding their needs and challenges while ensuring smooth program performance, driving service expansions, and securing long-term contract renewals. This is a quota-carrying role requiring approximately 50% travel.
Key responsibilities include:
• Build and maintain durable, trust-based relationships with school district leadership and transportation operators through empathy, responsiveness, and deep understanding of their priorities.
• Analyze daily, weekly, and long-term transit performance data to identify opportunities for improvement in routing, student safety, and operational efficiency, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Lead complex contract renewal negotiations and service expansion discussions, growing year-over-year adoption and revenue across your partner portfolio.
• Champion partner needs internally by collaborating with product, operations, deployment, and marketing teams, advocating for improvements that address partner and student needs.
• Deliver clear, compelling presentations and operational updates to diverse audiences—from school boards and superintendents to frontline transit staff—adapting your communication style accordingly.
• Help establish best practices, success metrics, and operational workflows that enable exceptional partner experiences as the Student Transit vertical scales nationally.
You bring 3+ years of client-facing experience in sales, business development, customer success, account management, consulting, or B2G/education technology. You're analytical, comfortable extracting insights from operational data and translating numbers into strategic narratives. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with ambiguity, taking ownership and solving problems proactively. You're an exceptional communicator with strong written and verbal presentation skills, able to translate complex operational models into simple, compelling concepts. Mission-driven professionals excited about modernizing student transportation and improving education access are ideal; prior transit, education, or public sector experience is a plus but not required.
