Ping Identity is seeking a Partner Sales Engineer to drive pre-sales activities and customer success in the UK market. You will merge technical expertise in identity and access management (IAM) with consultative selling, collaborating with sales teams to engage partners and customers through demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical guidance.
In this role, you'll act as the go-to technical expert on Ping Identity solutions, establishing trusted advisor relationships with customers and stakeholders across various organizational levels. You will lead customer-facing meetings—both virtual and in-person—delivering presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and live demonstrations of Ping Identity's cloud identity platform. Your responsibilities include delivering pre-sales activities such as solution demonstrations, RfX responses, and technical guidance; coordinating pre-sales efforts with post-sales service delivery teams throughout the sales cycle; and providing feedback on product enhancements to product owners.
You'll mentor junior team members and develop subject matter expert-level knowledge of at least one Ping Identity solution, serving as an expert resource to other Sales Engineers. Travel is expected at 15-40% annually, predominantly within the UK with some international travel.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, OR 3+ years' experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role (pre-sales, consulting, support, or training)
- Knowledge of standard identity protocols: SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, and REST interfaces
- Knowledge of technologies underlying identity solutions: LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, JDBC
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages and web technologies: JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, Java
- Experience developing and delivering effective technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and proof of concepts
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to link technical capabilities to customer needs
- Ability to work with high self-direction and/or collaboratively with team and customers
- Knowledge of IAM concepts: Authentication, Authorization, Federation, Single Sign-On, User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, Governance, Workflow
- Eagerness to learn; expertise in specific business areas or industry verticals is a bonus
- Familiarity with infrastructure, networking technologies, and cloud service providers
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Fluent English language skills
