Ping Identity is seeking a Partner Sales Engineer to support and enable their partner ecosystem across Europe. The role combines technical expertise with consultative sales skills to help System Integrators and channel partners successfully deliver Ping Identity's cloud identity platform to enterprise customers.
You will work closely with delivery partners to build mutually beneficial success plans, provide pre-sales technical guidance including product demonstrations and proof-of-concept development, and support partner teams through key sales cycle phases (Qualification, Discovery, Technical Proof). You'll develop reusable demonstration assets using modern web and mobile technologies, deliver technical presentations and workshops, and identify gaps in partner enablement to create targeted learning plans.
Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with System Integrators, supporting partner technical learning events across regions, collaborating with the Field SE team on broader initiatives, and traveling up to 30% of the time to support partner engagements. You'll leverage deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies to help partners understand and articulate the business and technical value of Ping Identity solutions to their customers.
This is a customer-first, collaboration-focused role where you'll exercise both technical depth and soft skills to maintain momentum in partner engagements and accelerate go-to-market success.
**Requirements:**
- 3+ years in customer-facing professional services or pre-sales positions
- Strong system integrator industry knowledge
- Ability to develop and nurture relationships with System Integrators and partner teams
- Rapid innovation capability through development of mobile/web applications, APIs, and platform configuration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and collaborative work style
- Competency with scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy, etc.), RESTful Web Services, Node.JS, Vue.js
- Willingness to learn mobile and hybrid frameworks
- Experience developing and delivering technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and POCs
- Experience with IAM solutions in enterprise organizations
- Installation and configuration experience with one or more IAM technologies (Ping Identity, Forgerock, CA, Oracle, IBM, Novell/NetIQ/Microfocus, or similar)
- Working knowledge of IAM protocols and formats: OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, JSON, XML, SQL
- General networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, routing, load balancers, proxies
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- **Fluency in French and English (must-have); Spanish proficiency is a nice-to-have**
**Ideal candidate will also have:**
- First-hand familiarity with Ping Identity, Forgerock, Okta, Auth0, SailPoint, or similar IAM platforms
- Understanding of IAM standards and protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, UMA, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, JSON)
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Consultancy experience with external stakeholders
- Experience working closely with sales organizations
- Deep understanding of IAM concepts (Authentication, Authorization, Federation, SSO, User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, Governance, Workflow)
