New Relic is seeking a Partner Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between New Relic's observability platform and its ecosystem of strategic technology partners. In this role, you will architect and develop integrations that connect New Relic with leading cloud and SaaS platforms, enabling customers to gain unified visibility across their entire technology stack.
You will be responsible for designing and building custom plugins and integrations that solve real-world business challenges for mutual customers. Working closely with partner organizations, you'll identify observability gaps in their solutions and develop seamless technical connections that accelerate product adoption and strengthen partner value propositions. Your work will directly impact how customers experience New Relic within their existing workflows.
Key responsibilities include acting as the primary technical liaison between New Relic, partners, and customers; developing integrations with cloud providers like AWS and Azure; translating partner and customer feedback into product roadmap insights; and ensuring partner implementations succeed through hands-on technical expertise. You'll also stay at the cutting edge of cloud/SaaS technologies, building foundational integrations that enable customer scalability.
Required qualifications include 2-3 years of industry experience in a technical role with demonstrated software development proficiency in backend languages (Python) and frontend frameworks (React). You must have hands-on experience with Linux and major cloud platforms, deep understanding of observability principles, and proven ability to manage technical relationships while solving customer pain points. Strong communication skills are essential for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Bonus qualifications include experience with AI coding tools, building high-throughput distributed systems, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and prior experience at observability vendors.
