Human Interest is a high-growth fintech company on a mission to democratize retirement benefits for small and medium-sized businesses. Backed by major investors including BlackRock, SoftBank, and TPG, the company has raised approximately $500 million to date and is addressing a critical gap: more than half of working Americans lack access to employer-sponsored retirement plans. As a Partner Account Manager based in Washington, DC, you will be the strategic driver of Human Interest's partnership ecosystem. Your primary responsibility is to develop, build, and amplify referral relationships with key partners including tech platforms, human capital management (HCM) providers, benefit brokers, CPAs, and financial advisors serving the SMB market. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and maintaining strategic referral networks focused on lead generation and new partnership opportunities - Proactively identifying and resolving partnership issues by collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams - Working with Partner Marketing to design and execute co-marketing initiatives such as educational events, webinars, and targeted email campaigns - Establishing business goals and performance metrics with partners (pipeline depth, revenue targets) and developing go-to-market strategies - Managing the full partner lifecycle from prospecting through account development and expansion You will be expected to spend approximately 3 days per week in the field building relationships and driving partnership growth. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating independently while maintaining accountability to quota-driven sales targets. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of experience in partnership development, territory sales, or business development within the tech/HCM/benefits space. You should have a proven track record in quota-driven environments, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Salesforce proficiency is preferred. Above all, you are a relationship builder with a growth mindset, resilience in the face of setbacks, and genuine passion for expanding access to retirement security.
