Human Interest is a high-growth fintech company on a mission to make retirement benefits accessible to small and medium-sized businesses across the United States. Backed by major investors including BlackRock, SoftBank, and TPG, the company has raised approximately $500 million to date and is transforming the retirement savings industry. As a Partner Account Manager based in Houston, you will be responsible for developing, building, and amplifying referral relationships with key partners in the SMB ecosystem, including tech partners, human capital management (HCM) platforms, benefit brokers, CPAs, and financial advisors. Your primary focus will be to accelerate partner relationships and create strategic referral networks that drive lead generation and new partnership opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include: - Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with tech and HCM partners, brokers, and financial professionals - Creating and executing go-to-market strategies with partners, establishing business goals and performance metrics - Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams to identify and resolve partnership issues - Working with Partner Marketing to design and execute innovative initiatives such as educational events, webinars, and email campaigns - Proactively identifying growth opportunities and exercising judgment to create solutions in a fast-paced environment You will spend approximately 3 days per week in the field meeting with partners. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, and thrives in dynamic environments. You should have 2+ years of experience building and maintaining relationships with tech and HCM partners in the SMB space, including territory sales and business development experience. A proven track record in quota-driven sales environments is essential. Key qualities include strong communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while being coachable. Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred. You must be located in Houston and able to commit to regular field travel.
