Jerry.ai is a fintech/insurtech platform that has grown to 5M+ customers and $240M+ in funding by simplifying car insurance, repairs, financing, and maintenance. The company is now profitable and scaling rapidly.
You will lead Jerry's organic growth strategy, owning how customers discover the company through Google search and AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini). This is a newly critical frontier: as AI answer engines become primary discovery channels, most financial services and insurance brands haven't yet figured out how to rank and earn citations in these systems. Jerry intends to be among the first.
You will manage one direct report, AI agents, and a freelance content bench. Your core responsibilities include:
**Discovery & Visibility**: Build content that ranks on Google and earns citations in LLMs. Understand how AI answer engines surface information and structure pages accordingly. Track where Jerry appears and where gaps exist, then close them. Own traffic and AI-citation targets that directly impact customer acquisition and revenue.
**Content Strategy & Editorial Direction**: Own Jerry's editorial engine across jerry.ai and external platforms. Define what gets published, where, and why—with organic traffic and customer acquisition targets attached. Set the roadmap and defend resource allocation.
**AI-Powered Production System**: Design and operate a scalable content pipeline: brief → AI draft → human edit → QA → publish. Build quality controls and drift metrics to prevent degradation as volume grows. Make the call on where AI handles work and where humans stay in the loop.
**Editorial Standards & Credibility**: Set and enforce Jerry's editorial standards across writers and AI agents. Insurance and financing content requires zero-tolerance accuracy (YMYL compliance). Every factual claim must be sourced; every edge case verified. Build infrastructure for named authors, transparent review processes, and credibility at scale.
You bring editorial taste and an eye for writing that works for both humans and LLMs. You're an insatiable learner in rapidly evolving domains (answer engine optimization, LLM behavior, content discovery). You're an LLM power user who can draft, research, synthesize, and automate at scale. Bachelor's degree required.
The role is based in San Francisco Bay Area. Jerry can only hire full-time salaried employees currently residing in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.
