Jerry is a fintech platform that simplifies car and home ownership by consolidating insurance, repairs, financing, and maintenance into a single app. With 5M+ customers, $240M+ in funding, and profitability achieved in early 2024, the company is now focused on organic growth through content and discovery.
You will lead Jerry's content strategy and execution across owned and external channels, with a focus on both traditional SEO and emerging Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). The role bridges editorial excellence with AI-powered production at scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Own organic discovery strategy: Build content that ranks on Google and earns citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other AI answer engines. Develop content structures optimized for AI surface, track Jerry's visibility gaps, and close them.
- Content strategy & roadmap: Define what Jerry publishes, where, and why—with explicit organic traffic and customer acquisition targets. Defend resource allocation and set editorial priorities.
- AI-native production system: Design and operate a scalable content pipeline (brief → AI draft → human edit → QA → publish). Build quality controls and drift metrics to maintain standards as volume grows. Make strategic calls on where AI handles work vs. where humans stay in the loop.
- Editorial standards & credibility: Set and enforce Jerry's editorial bar across writers and AI agents. Insurance and finance content requires zero-tolerance accuracy: named authors, sourced claims, transparent review processes. Build and maintain that infrastructure.
You will have one direct report, access to AI agents, and a freelance bench. The metric is customers converted, not page views. You will own both traffic and AI-citation targets that directly impact revenue and growth.
Required: Bachelor's degree, editorial taste and judgment, insatiable curiosity about rapidly evolving domains (SEO, AEO, LLM behavior), LLM expertise and power-user fluency, and the ability to balance AI automation with human judgment on high-stakes financial content.
