Eucalyptus (part of Hims & Hers) is a leading consumer healthcare platform operating across the US, Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Spain and Canada. The company delivers personalized, high-quality care through a network of prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists and dietitians, focusing on preventative health, weight management, and women's and men's health conditions. Juniper, Eucalyptus's service, has just launched in Spain. This Operations Lead role is a zero-to-one opportunity to build the Spanish business from its first patients into a reliable, scalable service. You will lead day-to-day operations for the Spanish business, with the Prescriber, Medical Support, and Patient Experience teams reporting to you for operational management. You will own the operational relationship with partner pharmacies and be responsible for: - Patient Operations: Run operational delivery across onboarding, consultations and ongoing support. Coordinate reliable handovers to partner pharmacies. Identify and remove operational bottlenecks. - Team Leadership: Set priorities, allocate work, and build a patient-first culture. Own hiring, coaching, and performance management for direct reports. Plan staffing and coverage as demand grows. - Pharmacy Partnership: Serve as the day-to-day operational contact. Run launch-phase check-ins and monthly reviews against shared scorecards covering handovers, dispatch, delivery, order accuracy and query response times. Share demand forecasts early. - Operating System: Turn learnings from early patients into SOPs, training materials, and Spanish-language knowledge base. Track service quality, turnaround, satisfaction, retention and cost to serve. Manage operational costs within budget. - Compliance & Safety: Work with Clinical Governance and Legal to turn requirements into practical, auditable processes. Ensure incidents and complaints are escalated, documented and closed. Scale responsibly without compromising safety. This is a hands-on role. Some days you'll design systems; other days you'll work alongside frontline teams to resolve individual patient issues. You'll report to Alejandro Ugarte Limer, Head of International Expansion, and partner closely with Spain's commercial leadership and international teams across Patient Operations, Clinical, Product, Growth, Finance, People and Legal. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of operational accountability, including launching a new market/service or scaling a complex customer-facing operation - Proven track record leading and developing teams with clear expectations and practical performance management - Hands-on capability: can investigate support backlogs, troubleshoot handovers, build staffing plans, write and test workflows - Comfortable with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Sigma); able to build and stress-test models in Excel/Sheets - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to take messy operational problems and present clear, evidence-based recommendations - Ability to align people across functions, countries and reporting lines - Proficiency with AI tools and ability to drive team adoption - Based in Spain; fluent in Spanish and English (leading teams, running partner discussions, writing clearly in both) - Typical backgrounds include high-growth scale-ups, consulting, or investment banking, but open to others with demonstrated ability to make consequential calls at pace with incomplete information - Experience in digital health, healthcare services, subscription businesses, or regulated environments is valuable but not essential - Clinical qualification is not required The role offers the opportunity to shape how a new healthcare business operates, make tangible impact on patient care access and experience, take meaningful ownership of consequential decisions, and learn from an international team of experienced operators, clinicians and technologists.
