GoGuardian is seeking a New Business Executive to own the full sales lifecycle for an assigned territory covering Mid-Market and Enterprise-sized school districts across WI, IL, MN, and MO. This is a quota-carrying sales role focused on creating and closing strategic new business opportunities in the K-12 education technology space.
You will be responsible for identifying high-potential accounts, developing comprehensive account strategies, creating demand in complex buying environments, building executive relationships, and navigating multi-stakeholder procurement processes. The role requires strategic account planning, market research, and the ability to create opportunities where no active buying process exists.
Key responsibilities include conducting consultative discovery to uncover business priorities and challenges, building multi-threaded account strategies across executive, technical, curriculum, safety/security, finance, and procurement stakeholders, developing internal champions, and creating compelling business cases that connect customer challenges to measurable business impact. You will expand opportunities beyond initial products when broader customer needs emerge, navigate complex procurement and RFP processes, and leverage marketing, channel partners, and referrals to create executive entry points.
You will maintain a healthy qualified pipeline, accurately forecast opportunity risk and outcomes, negotiate and close meaningful deals while maintaining customer relationships, and work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Sales Ops, Product, Support, and Customer Success teams. CRM management and data-driven continuous improvement of territory and sales performance are essential.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of B2B SaaS technology sales experience in quota-carrying Mid-Market or Enterprise new-business roles, with a proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding quota and personally creating and closing complex deals. Experience selling into K-12, government, or other complex multi-stakeholder organizations is preferred. You must demonstrate strong strategic account planning, consultative selling, executive communication, multi-threading, negotiation, and business-case development skills. Commercial judgment regarding budgeting, procurement, RFPs, funding, and contracting is critical. The role requires up to 30% travel and candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to WI, IL, MN, or MO.
