Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Systems Lead to own the technical development and integration of mission systems for a maritime defense platform, from concept through delivery. This is a leadership role within the Maritime Division, where you will drive architecture selection, design decisions, and cross-functional execution across product, engineering, business development, and operations teams.
You will own customer success by designing and delivering a fully operational mission system for a new maritime platform. Key responsibilities include partnering with the Vehicle Software team on sensor, actuator, and vehicle system integration; driving architecture selection for robotic mission systems including hardware, compute, storage, and network design; and contributing to a company-wide roadmap for mission system integration into maritime platforms.
You will lead teams of multi-disciplinary engineers, including mentoring Senior Software Engineers from diverse backgrounds. You will drive the design and implementation of development processes for initial delivery and subsequent iterations, including full lifecycle testing. You will also lead the creation of test and simulation fixtures with both software- and hardware-in-the-loop capabilities, and support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
The role requires deep technical expertise in military mission systems, distributed software platform architectures, modeling and simulation, high-assurance safety-critical software development, and autonomous weapons systems. You must have experience across the full product delivery lifecycle—manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment. Familiarity with vehicle management systems and systems engineering concepts is essential. Travel to co-locate with end-users and other teams is expected up to 25% of the time. U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility is required.
