Notion is hiring a Mid-Market Solutions Consultant for their Tokyo office to own the full customer lifecycle for a book of mid-market business accounts. You'll be responsible for new logo acquisition, expansion, and renewal, serving as the single account owner and ensuring credits sold translate into actual customer consumption.
In this role, you'll design and build workflow solutions directly with customers through hands-on discovery and co-building in Notion—the discovery itself becomes the demo. You'll partner with Business Development Representatives on target account planning and co-own outbound motion, running direct outreach to priority stakeholders. You'll navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security reviews to close deals with appropriate scope and implementation paths.
You'll guide customers through early implementation with clear adoption plans and hand off to Outcomes Architects for ongoing expansion. Throughout the customer journey, you'll partner with Outcomes Architects on onboarding, adoption strategies, and renewal execution, owning the commercial arc while they drive day-to-day workflow adoption.
Required qualifications include 4-7+ years selling technical products to technical buyers, with genuine technical fluency and comfort building live in software. You should excel at discovery and qualification, mapping customer workflows to commercial outcomes. You'll need experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder interactions including procurement and legal cycles, and the ability to operate with agency and urgency. You should be obsessed with AI and constantly building with new tools.
Nice-to-haves include full-cycle B2B software sales or solutions engineering experience with quota track records, familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models, prior experience selling to mid-market and enterprise in productivity/collaboration software, and experience in shared account ownership models.
