Pontera is a fintech company helping people retire better by enabling financial advisors to manage 401(k) and retirement plan accounts as part of personalized strategies. The company's software platform is used by financial advisors across the nation—from SMB to Fortune 500 RIA firms, independent broker-dealers, plan custodians, and plan advisors. Backed by leading venture capital firms including ICONIQ Growth and Lightspeed Venture Partners, Pontera is building a fast-growing team dedicated to becoming one of the largest fintech companies in the world. As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you will lead the sales process for some of the fastest-growing and disruptive Broker-Dealers and RIAs in the space (50+ financial advisors). You will own deals from initial conversation through negotiation and close, with CEO-level visibility and the opportunity to bring in clients capable of changing the company's trajectory. Key responsibilities include: leading multi-threaded sales processes across C-Suite, Compliance, InfoSec, Legal, and Field Leadership; mapping buyer organizations and understanding their goals, timelines, and motivations; building detailed proposals and presentations; partnering with BDRs to win meetings with key decision makers; collaborating with Solution Consultants on technical discovery; working with Relationship Managers during late-stage negotiations to ensure seamless post-close adoption; navigating regulatory and compliance reviews (SEC, ERISA, SOC 2, custodial data privacy); and continuously improving your sales process through testing and best practices. You will be selling a product with immediate, measurable revenue impact for clients (share of wallet growth) into a massive addressable market where Pontera has dominant category leadership in professional 401(k) management. The role requires grit, resiliency, and professionalism to capture this opportunity.
