NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Mid-Market Account Executive to manage a high-volume sales pipeline focused on small business funding opportunities. This role is unique in its accelerated sales cycle—deals are expected to close within 1–2 days, requiring candidates who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can quickly assess deal viability. You will own the entire sales process from initial outreach through closing, managing conversations with small business owners and working alongside lenders in the NerdWallet Small Business network to identify optimal funding matches. You'll become an expert in the full product suite, including merchant cash advances, small business loans, and commercial financing options, and serve as a liaison between lenders and business owners. Key responsibilities include managing a high-volume pipeline, consistently hitting monthly sales targets, qualifying prospects rapidly, and maintaining strong communication with diverse business owners. You'll work on a collaborative sales floor with peers and senior team members, learning the NerdWallet Small Business sales process and qualifying methodology during an initial training period. Required experience: 1+ years in sales with 6+ months in the funding industry (merchant cash advance, small business lending, business financing, or similar). You should demonstrate proven pipeline management, strong communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize independently, resilience in challenging conversations, and comfort with inside sales environments. The role values candidates who think on their feet, accept feedback constructively, and continuously raise their performance bar. The position is based in New York, NY, with an in-office expectation to leverage daily collaboration and spontaneous learning opportunities on the sales floor. After completing training (typically months 4–6), you'll have the flexibility to work remotely up to 20% of the month from anywhere in the continental US, provided you meet minimum performance standards.
