NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Mid-Market Account Executive to manage a high-volume, fast-paced sales pipeline focused on small business funding opportunities. This role is unique in that deals are expected to close within 1–2 days, requiring candidates who thrive under pressure and can quickly assess deal viability.
You will own the entire sales process from initial outreach through closing, working directly with business owners and lenders in the NerdWallet Small Business network. Your responsibilities include managing a robust pipeline, consistently hitting monthly sales goals, and serving as a liaison between lenders and small business owners to identify optimal funding matches.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure
- Rapidly learn NerdWallet's product suite and qualifying processes
- Conduct phone-based consultations to match business owners with appropriate loan products
- Collaborate with lenders to identify and capitalize on opportunities
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
- Maintain strong pipeline management and KPI performance
Required experience:
- Minimum 1+ year of sales experience
- 6+ months in the funding industry (merchant cash advance, small business lending, commercial lending, or similar)
- Proven ability to manage pipelines and meet sales metrics
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Comfort with fast-paced inside sales environments
- Ability to work autonomously and handle challenging conversations
- Coachability and resilience in feedback loops
This role is based in New York with an in-office expectation. After completing training (typically months 4–6), you'll have the flexibility to work remotely up to 20% of the month from anywhere in the continental US, provided you meet performance standards.
