KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings and the world's leading travel search engine, is building a new creative hub in London to serve UK and EMEA markets. This mid-level conceptual copywriter role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, generating bold campaign ideas and crafting format-ready creative across multiple channels.
You'll conceive original campaigns spanning out-of-home advertising, social media, short-form video, and digital formats. Your work involves writing sharp hooks, headlines, scripts, and creative briefs tailored to specific channels and audiences. You'll collaborate closely with designers, video editors, production partners, campaign managers, brand strategists, and performance marketers to bring concepts to life while balancing creative ambition with real-world constraints.
The role requires deep knowledge of advertising formats and how messaging, tone, and structure must shift between OOH, paid social, organic content, and short-form video. You'll be comfortable working independently or as part of a larger team, bouncing ideas and building on others' thinking. You'll also leverage AI tools for ideation, storyboarding, and rapid concept exploration, using judgment to enhance rather than replace creative thinking.
You bring 3–7 years of creative career experience rooted in campaign ideation and short-form copy (not long-form editorial). Your portfolio demonstrates conceptual thinking, format-aware copy, and integrated campaign work. You have strong script and brief-writing ability, visual aesthetic sensibility, and experience writing for short-form video formats like Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You're collaborative, ego-free, take feedback constructively, and can pitch and defend ideas clearly to stakeholders. Film production experience is a plus.
Based in the London office 3 days per week. KAYAK offers 5 weeks paid vacation, private health & dental insurance, pension contributions, mental health support (therapy and Headspace), no-meeting Fridays, paid parental leave, development dollars, leadership training, and employee resource groups.
