Salary: EUR 115,200 - 172,800 / annual
F5 is seeking a Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead the SE team across Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Malta. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing all aspects of the Solutions Engineering organization in the region with a focus on technical sales enablement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Manage the regional SE team including performance evaluations, hiring, training, work assignment, and disciplinary actions. Conduct performance improvement plans and interview candidates for open positions.
- Strategic Planning: Define FY objectives, strategy, and priorities for the SE team. Partner with management to determine quarterly and yearly headcount needs, ensuring the organization scales to meet company goals. Develop SE retention, recognition, compensation, and career planning strategies.
- Organizational Development: Build and organize the SE team to exceed objectives through both technical and professional development. Create an environment of teamwork and cooperation across departments. Develop skills assessments and job planning.
- Customer Focus: Drive product requirements and business unit alignment. Identify market trends and communicate to Product Management. Ensure customer success and maintain transparent escalation plans with support teams. Present F5 strategy, solution messaging, and roadmap to customers and partners.
- Business Strategy: Analyze market trends and competitive landscape. Provide product feasibility analysis to support sales efforts. Manage post-sales issues and escalations.
- Partner Management: Develop and maintain effective SE partnerships with Professional Services, Support, Marketing, and Product Management.
Required qualifications: BS/BA degree or relevant work experience. Several years managing technical SEs in a management role. Strong understanding of networking technologies and application delivery. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex technologies. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to persuade and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
