Salary: EUR 115,200 - 172,800 / annual
F5 is seeking a Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead the SE team across Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Malta. This role combines people management with strategic technical sales leadership. You will manage all aspects of the Solutions Engineering organization in this region, including hiring, performance management, training, and career development. Key responsibilities include defining quarterly and yearly objectives and strategy for the SE team, partnering with management on headcount planning to ensure scalability, managing candidate recruitment in collaboration with HR, and developing both technical and professional capabilities within the team. You will drive organizational effectiveness through clear communication, teamwork, and a customer-focused culture. Strategic planning includes scaling the SE organization to meet business objectives, developing retention and compensation strategies, and ensuring career progression for direct reports. You will identify and communicate market trends to product and sales leadership, analyze competitive positioning, and provide product feasibility analysis to support sales efforts. Customer management responsibilities include managing post-sales escalations, presenting F5 strategy and solution messaging, and ensuring the SE team understands customer requirements and challenges. You will also conduct performance evaluations, approve time-off, assign work, provide on-the-job training, conduct performance improvement plans, and take disciplinary action as needed. The role requires upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly reporting any violations. This is a hands-on leadership position that bridges technical expertise with people management and business strategy.
